Bill Vocke Photos

Sports photographer in the Northern Virginia area who enjoys taking photos of sporting events, scenery, wildlife, plants, and just about anything that is visually appealing. For sports, I shoot for Viva Loudoun (https://www.vivaloudoun.com/) and share the photos with the Loudoun Times Mirror newspaper. See the hyperlinks under My Galleries. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

About Me

My photo
Bill Vocke
I am an amateur freelance photographer focusing on High School sports in Loudoun County Virginia, primarily Tuscarora High School. My other photography targets are backyard wildlife and landscapes. My interest in serious photography dates back to the mid-1970s when I bought a Canon Ftb. Over the next two decades it served me well until the shutter broke for the second time. I ventured into the digital photography world with a Canon Rebel xTi, which has been replaced by a Canon 70D. In January 2019, I moved up to a Canon 5D Mark IV full-frame camera. This has improved the results of the sports photos taken in frequently dim gymnasiums.
